Lee Jun Ki greets fans

April 21st, 2011

Lee Jun Ki posting on his official Twitter. can read :

“Hello, this is private first class Lee Jun Ki, who is currently awaiting his promotion as a corporal. Attention!

Have you all been well? It’s been a while since I’ve received a break, but I’m currently spending my final break as a private first class right now. Having come out into the world again after such a long time, I’m finding it difficult to adjust. Seems like the world is going on just fine.

While serving, your unchanging love for me has become a great source of strength. Today (the 17th) was my birthday, but as I am a soldier, I was not able to return all of the support you have shown me today. I feel very apologetic for that.

Thank you for remembering every year. Thank you so, so much.”

Everytime I go for overseas activities, I am very touched by fans who make the extra effort to learn Korean to communicate with me.

So I decided to participate in this project for free. I hope that my little bit of effort can be of assistance to those who wants to learn the Korean language.”

Overseas fans surprise Lee Junki with good luck cranes This is sweet (and yay for overseas fans, yet again): in anticipation of Hero’s broadcast premiere tomorrow, overseas fans have shown their support for lead actor Lee Junki in the form of 30,000 origami cranes.

The fan gifts arrived on November 17 at Hero’s Seoul filming location in a truckload containing fifteen boxes. Lee Junki had been taking a brief break from filming at the time of arrival, and hearing that they’d come from his overseas fans, he opened the boxes himself to confirm the sight.

Lee said, “I was so surprised and thankful. I want to hang them all up at home. The fans act without being bound to nationality and it seems like they have the ability to always surprise me. This time, I received a gift I couldn’t have even imagined receiving. Thinking of how long it must have taken them to fold all of this makes me even more moved.”

Lee Jun Ki : “Hero is perfect fit for me in terms of the role and drama”

November 23rd, 2009

Actor Lee Jun Ki has reveal that his role in “Hero” is perfect fit for him!

Lee Jun Ki said “I just enjoy coming out here. It’s fun just being on set and I never stop laughing. I feel like I’ve finally met the perfect fit for me in terms of the role and drama. I try a larger variety of acting for each take than I used to. Before, I used to prepare in advance and just show exactly that but I now try out more things than what I rehearsed using all sorts of expressions and ways of speech. I really want to give as much as I can for this role.”

It sort of feels like I’m just hanging out on set. I was dashing this way and rushing that way in the beginning which added a bit more of the fun element to each scene and like today, we got to wear disguises for the dance hall scene. Even Mr. Baek Yoon-shik is moving around more for his role in this drama.

Lee Jun-ki’s “Hero” premiere pushed back

November 7th, 2009

The premiere date for actor Lee Jun-ki’s new drama “Hero” has been pushed back by a week, according to its broadcaster on Friday.

A producer at MBC told 10Asia over the phone that the Wednesday and Thursday series will air starting November 18, instead of November 11.

November 18 was when “Hero” had originally been set to air but the date had been pulled up after drama “No Limit” wrapped up early after suffering from ratings between three to five percent.

But “Hero” only went into shoot properly starting yesterday after replacing actress Kim Min-jung with Yoon So-yi two days ago. Kim pulled out from the drama over an arm condition which kept her from shooting.

“Hero” will star 27-year-old Lee who became a household name in 2005 playing a woman-like clown in the hit film “The King and the Clown” and was recently voted the most popular Korean Wave star in China.

He will play the role of a passionate reporter working for a third-rate magazine in the drama, about a group of youngsters who rebel and fight against a corrupt society.
